鈥淵askawa Group Code of Conduct,鈥 which defines the basic standards to be observed by each company in the Yaskawa Group, and 鈥淥ur Commitments,鈥 which is a standard for all officers and employees of the Yaskawa Group to practice compliance based on the 鈥淵askawa Group Code of Conduct,鈥 indicate codes of conduct, including compliance with competition law and prevention of bribery. Based on these codes of conduct, the Company formulates relevant rules and guidelines and conducts educational activities.
In addition to establishing the 鈥淐ompetition Law Compliance Policy鈥 applicable to officers and employees, we have formulated the 鈥淎nti-Cartel Guidelines鈥 in light of the importance of efforts to prevent cartels in competition laws.
The 鈥淐ompetition Law Compliance Policy鈥 also apply to major Yaskawa Group companies including overseas companies (hereinafter referred to as “subject group companies”). As for the 鈥淎nti-Cartel Guidelines,鈥 different version for each subject group company has been developed based on the laws and regulations as well as cartel risks of the countries and regions in which the subject group companies conduct business.
Yaskawa Electric and its subject group companies are each conducting training on the prevention of cartels, a monitoring questionnaire to measure the presence of possible cartel risks and/or pre-screening for contact with other companies in the same industry.
In addition to establishing the 鈥淎nti-Bribery Policy鈥 applicable to officers and employees, we have formulated the 鈥淎nti-Bribery Guidelines,鈥 which specify important points and criteria for preventing bribery.
The 鈥淎nti-Bribery Policy鈥 also apply to the subject group companies (i.e., major Yaskawa Group companies including overseas companies). With regard to the 鈥淎nti-Bribery Guidelines,鈥 different version for each subject group company has been developed based on the laws and regulations as well as the risk of bribery of the countries and regions in which the subject group companies conduct business.
Yaskawa Electric and its subject group companies are each conducting awareness-raising activities aimed at preventing bribery based on the substance of the 鈥淎nti-Bribery Guidelines.鈥
