銆�Aiming to expand its product portfolio and sales network in the wind turbine component field in order to achieve the goals set forth in its long term plan 鈥淰ision 2015鈥�, Yaskawa Electric Corporation (Representative Director, Chairman and President, Junji Tsuda) has signed a collaboration agreement with The Switch Engineering Corporation (The Switch), a Finnish supplier of components for wind turbines, allowing the companies to distribute each other鈥檚 wind turbine generators and converters through their respective sales networks.

銆�The Switch is a company that has so far provided wind turbine equipment (generators and converters) with an estimated total capacity 6.5GW, and aims to become the leading supplier in the growing European off-shore wind turbine market by expanding its product portfolio with Yaskawa鈥檚 medium voltage converter products (3000V and higher).

銆�On the other hand Yaskawa is not only seeking to develop the European market by offering its products through The Switch鈥檚 sales network, but will also distribute The Switch鈥檚 products for wind turbines in the Japanese market, therefore being able to provide component solutions for wind turbines of any capacity in Japan.
